I am also against the idea of a dumpster in the curb house parking lot and agree with those comments above. I would like to add the following to the comments already mentioned:
1) Rodent infestation. We have a few problems periodically, this would add to the problems.
2). Noise issue with late evening or early morning deposits
3) Environmental concerns with toxic chemicals being deposited and run off into the creek which children play in
4). Odor which would impact the quality of life for those who live near the dumpster
5). Decrease in proper value for those who live near the dump. No one want to live near an ugly smelly dumpster
Please NO Dumpster in the clubhouse parking lot!
If what Randy detailed is accurate ( I have worked with Randy, he is usually very accurate) I see no reason to approve this plan. It seems this can be done without SEMSWA using their shiny new truck and turning our North Y into a maintenance field. Our open spaces and greenbelts are unique to this neighborhood and allowing this gravel road this would have impacts on all Willow Reek 1 residents.
I think the swim team is absolutely essential to bringing our neighborhood together and keeping us as a strong neighborhood. I raised tw0 children in Willow Creek 1 and one of them loved the swim team so much she coached the team for several years.
The swim team is unique in the value it brings to the neighborhood. The swim team is the vehicle which allows families with different age children to get to know each other and build community. The swim team encourages children of all ages to interact with each other as the coaches/H2Os used their experience to guide the younger children through challenges and allow for a mentoring relationship to develop.
I am a very strong supporter of the swim team and it has unique value in what it brings to help us keep our community a community by helping us all get to know people we would otherwise have no reason to interact.
Please keep the swim team.
